History Club Manchester

Booked a table of 10, payed £550. Arrived and they demanded £5 extra per person for service charge even though we had to goneto the bar ourselves.... 30 minutes later, no drinks, no service ? Hmmm...

Where do I begin...£10 entry I thought was way too expensive given the fact that a double was £9.50! However I thought the main issue was the fact that there was NO SEATING WHATSOEVER, that is if your willing to spend an obscene amount of money on a booth or willing to go down three flights of stairs to go to the "smoking area" which is practically just part of the street cornered off. We also found the floor staff incredibly rude, if we attempted to put our drinks down somew...here we would immediately get it shoved back to us and I don't think I saw a single smile from any of them. I believe the drink prices were absolutely ridiculous so much so that a friend of mine decided to simply drink soft drinks throughout the night and even then the price seemed to increase whenever she went back to the bar. Finally, I understand that this is a new club, on a positive note I thought the interior was gorgeous as well as the lights, effects and dancers. Also I heavily applaud the DJ and the music that was played and the bar staff themselves were very friendly. However, club was extremely quiet to begin with and even from around 1am it was busier but not exactly packed. I even noticed that when going down to the smoking area and seeing the queue the outside, the bouncers and staff were making people wait around five mins before they were allowed entry, as if to make out that the club was really busy inside which essentially drove people away. A nice club with good music but for me it's too expensive and I believe that good service, especially from the floor staff can make or break your night, so sadly I will not be going to this club in the near future.
